Peter Dutton Duds Dunkley

Dutton train to nowhere sfy

Peter Dutton has been in Dunkley leading up to the by-election scheduled for 2nd March this year and he’s full on Duddon.

First up he wouldn't answer questions if he would support #Labor’s #Stage3 tax cuts putting the familiar and over-worn diversion “we are waiting on detail”, poor Peter he’s always waiting for detail, detail thats often staring him in the face. It’s a delaying tactic, he knows it and he knows we know it so whey does he bother?.

Next up he’s all of a sudden concerned about the diesel train at Dunkers, apparently "in this day and age, is just not right” (that they use a diesel train) - It was this “Day & Age” between 2013 and 2022 when his #LNP government was in power and they didn't do a thing about it. He’s talking a $900 Million upgrade which the Victorian government would be up for half and they categorically state they can’t afford it. Nor can it be justified given the amount of people who use that service, 13 people per day.

But wait, now theres a by-election and Dutt’s NEEDS a win there he’s magically talking up the bribes for votes. Why doesn't he offer them a commuter carpark upgrade? well, shall we go there? Of course we shall.
How can Peter Dutton be taken seriously about a vote bribe with a diesel train upgrade (which some say would cost 2 times or mare the 900 Million he’s pretending he’d spend) when his government couldn't even deliver a carpark? remember the carpark rorts? Let is remind you because this is important, especially if you're a commuter living in Dunkley.

The Australian government's $660 million commitment to build car parks at city train stations, known as "car park rorts," was a farce, especially in Melbourne. The program's audit revealed that 31 of the 47 chosen car parks were meant to be in greater Melbourne, though their locations did not align with the city's traffic issues or growth areas. The National Audit Office found that only two of the planned car parks have been built, with delays, cancellations, and higher-than-expected costs.

Critics argued that the car park selections were politically motivated, favoring Liberal-held electorates, including Goldstein and Kooyong in eastern Melbourne, where population growth is low. The focus on Melbourne contradicts traffic patterns and population growth in areas like Werribee and Melton in the city's west, which were excluded from the program.
The audit revealed that the car parks would not effectively reduce congestion, as commuter behavior tends to shift rather than decrease overall car usage. The cost of the project was also a concern, with some car parks projected to exceed standard costs significantly.

Opposition leader Peter Dutton's recent promise of a new diesel train service for Dunkley in Melbourne raises total skepticism, given his LNP government's track record with unfulfilled promises and misaligned priorities. The lack of planning and questionable choices in the car park program prompted a public inquiry, highlighting concerns about the LNP government's credibility and the effectiveness of its urban infrastructure initiatives in Melbourne.

Peter Dutton is on a train to nowhere with his latest ‘Dutton Talk’ (That’s code for bullshit) and many would say he’s heading for a train crash with his empty pointless and hollow train titter.
